The second TV tuner (one for analogue and the other for digital Freeview) means you can record one channel whilst watching the other. You can even record two shows at the same time.

With Windows Vista Home Premium as the operating system you can enjoy the new version of Windows Media Center.

What about storage?
Well, there’s plenty of space for TV shows, pictures and music on the twin 250GB hard drives that have been configured as one huge 500GB disc.

The Intel E6400 processor has more than enough cope with everything you care to throw at it and is helped along with 2GB of memory. The Nvidia GeForce 7600GTL graphics card means you can play the latest games without worrying about speed issues or graphics quality.

The Blu-ray drive plays high-definition movies and allows you to burn your own movies or back-up your data on to 25GB single layer discs or 50GB dual layer blank discs.

Finally, and notably, is the (lack of) noise from this PC. It’s almost silent which is all the more impressive considering the specification of this PC.

What we liked:

Dislikes:
The software’s editing options are limited but will be fine for most users. Another editing software package may be needed for the serious film makers among you.
Despite the touch screen, the menus can be a little clumsy.

Overall:
Pressing the “Easy Handycam” button allows for simple ‘point and shoot’ filming and with all the camera settings automatically controlled for optimum recording and minimal fuss, the Sony DCR-SR32 is a winner in our book.
